Jan Frodeno has changed the sport of triathlon in every way. Everywhere he raced – whether Challenge Family or Ironman races – he won. The former Olympic Champion, multiple World Champion and former holder of the world record in the Long Distance, now has announced his retirement, stopping at the end of this season.
Frodeno is racing in Milwaukee this weekend and he will also start in Nice in early September. After that, it is done for the German world-class athlete, who is considered by almost everyone to be The GOAT – greatest of all time.
On behalf of Challenge Family, we would like to thank Jan Frodeno for EVERYTHING he has meant to the sport. He not only lifted the level enormously, he was an inspiration to millions of people worldwide. Including us.
