Els Visser won Challenge Canberra last weekend, and she did so in impressive fashion. After being more than three minutes behind after the swim, she began a phenomenal catch-up on the bike and made up almost all of her deficit. During the run, she had another 30 seconds on Fenella Langridge to catch up with, and she succeeded, until the two women battled side by side for victory the final three kilometers. In a final burst of energy, Visser set up the final sprint, claiming victory. Below is the interview she gave afterwards.
