He was the big favorite in advance for the win at Challenge Canberra, and last weekend he lived up to that role: no crash could stop Daniel Baekkegard. The Danish world-class athlete faced an ugly fall during the first stages on the bike, but was able to continue his race, fought his way back to the head of the race and finally decided the race during his half marathon.
