Challenge Sir Bani Yas: it’s all about racing….and wildlife!

Challenge Sir Bani Yas promises to be a spectacular race this coming weekend. Not only because of the amazing pro field and of course the thousands of Age Group athletes who will participate, but also because of the race venue.

Challenge Sir Bani Yas takes place in one of the most unique destinations in the world of triathlon, the spectacular Sir Bani Yas Island. A natural island located off Abu Dhabi, in the beautiful Arabian Gulf, it is one of the largest natural islands in the United Arab Emirates. Athletes will race through the Sir Bani Yas wildlife reserve which makes up more than half of this incredible island and is home to more than 17,000 free-roaming animals, including Arabian oryx, gazelles, giraffes, hyenas, and cheetahs, and several million trees and plants.
