On May 21, it’s going to happen: Challenge Family’s The Championship. The best professional athletes as well as Age Groupers from all over the world will gather in Samorin, Slovakia, to compete in the highlight of Challenge Family’s race calendar. Only qualified athletes will have the opportunity to race here. Did you know that there are currently six races left where you can qualify for the 2023 edition of The Championship?
Clash Miami – March 10
You will have the first opportunity in just a week and a half from now: in America, to be exact. That’s when Clash Miami takes place. This is a unique experience for sure, because racing on a Nascar track is not something you do every day. If you are among the best athletes in your Age Group, you will qualify for The Championship 2023 right away.
BCI Challenge Puerto Varas – March 19
One week later, the BCI Challenge Puerto Varas is scheduled. In beautiful Chile – the surroundings are truly breathtakingly beautiful here – a Middle Distance will be raced. Last year none other than Sam Long won the men’s pro race, but Age Groupers are also vying for victory for sure. Only some of the best Age Groupers will be rewarded with a qualification for The Championship.
ANFI Challenge Mógan-Gran Canaria – April 22
Racing in Gran Canaria is racing in paradise. Especially if you are a guest at Anfi, because this resort can be seen as the heart of the race. For example, did you know that the transition area’s are located on the hotel grounds? Gran Canaria is quite close to the equator and you’ll enjoy beautiful weather here all year round: especially during the race. But, don’t make the mistake to underestimate the race; even though the views during ANFI Challenge Mógan-Gran Canaria are amazing – very often you will have a spectacular view over the Atlantic Ocean – the course is sometimes pretty tough.
Challenge Taiwan – April 22
Taiwan is another paradise. Challenge Taiwan is one of the very largest races in the world and has around seven thousand athletes each year. That’s why you need to be in an extremely strong shape if you want to secure a qualification for The Championship in Taiwan, but while racing, you’re going to enjoy yourself no matter what. At this race, you as an athlete will be treated like a champion. Race day is purely about the athletes. Challenge Taiwan is a once in a lifetime experience.
Challenge Cerrado – April 23
On the completely different side of the world, you can compete in Challenge Cerrado only one day later. Here, expect a fast course, great temperature and, above all, beautiful nature. The race is highly regarded in Brasil and this year the race represents the second last chance to still qualify for The Championship.
Ekoï Challenge Fréjus – May 14
A completely new race and only a week before The Championship takes place, but Challenge Fréjus is also the last opportunity to still qualify for The Championship. Do you want to experience the spectacle in Samorin, but do not yet have earned the possibility to register? Then be sure to travel to France for a chance to win a slot: Challenge Fréjus is located very close to the beautiful city of Nice and the course takes you through vineyards, old picturesque stone villages and the Col du Bougnon, from where you have a beautiful view ob the Gulf or St. Tropez.
