For the whole triathlon community, 2020 has been a year with almost no sporting events and without the realisation of many dreams. But dreams cannot simply be cancelled, not in Roth – the triathlon dream factory. Over the new year, TEAMCHALLENGE and the Challenge Women team are offering a special highlight, a virtual run with the famous Challenge feeling for everyone – the “Dreams Cannot be Cancelled Run powered by DATEV” over 5km, 10km or 21.1km.
Everyone can take part! Whether you are a keen amateur, a seasoned runner/triathlete or a professional – you can run 5km, 10km or 21.1km wherever you are in the world at any time between December 30, 2020 at 10:00am and January 2, 2021 at 12:00pm German time. Registration is open from Friday, 30 October, 10.00 am CET.
Everyone can enjoy the Challenge feeling
“We miss that very special Roth feeling we normally experience every year at DATEV CHALLENGEROTH. And of course we miss our athletes,” said Felix Walchshöfer. “Over the new year we want to give the athletes a heartfelt experience with a virtual run they can take part in without any danger to their health or those around them.”
The athletes run alone on a course chosen by themselves so that social distancing rules can be easily observed by the athletes and everyone’s safety is guaranteed. The tracking and results are recorded by a specially programmed mobile phone app, which must be downloaded prior to the race. The famous “Challenge feeling” will also be felt from afar. For example, participants can enjoy a Spotify playlist featuring the songs that are usually played during the event at the swim start or in the finish line stadium. Via the app you also transpose your run onto the Roth run course or Challenge Women route. “We have a few more surprises up our sleeve, all will be revealed soon! ”said Walchshöfer.
Various entry packages can be booked from 30 October, 10.00 am CET
Participants registering for the Dreams Cannot be Cancelled Run powered by DATEV, can choose between two packages:
An online entry package for only 19.95 euros including a digital starter bag, start number, certificate and Spotify playlist. Or a premium package for 49.95 euros, which will be sent at the beginning of December. The package consists of gifts worth over 100 euros including a medal, a quality headband made by RenéRosa in Roth and exclusive access to webinars and a look behind the scenes during the event week. The premium package is limited to 3,500 entries.

Since dreams are not cancelled, there is a separate merchandise collection with the motto “Dreams Cannot be Cancelled”. The sport and lifestyle clothing is produced regionally by RenéRosa, the clothing supplier for Roth champion Andi Dreitz and world champion Anne Haug.
