The 27th edition of the Toyota Land Cruiser Challenge Israman took place today in Eilat, featuring middle-distance and long-distance races. The event delivered multiple course records and close competition across all categories.

In the middle-distance men’s race, Marcel Bolbat (GER) secured his third consecutive Challenge Israman victory, setting a new course record of 4:13:36.

The middle-distance field entered the Red Sea at 7:10 a.m. in 22.7°C water, resulting in a non-wetsuit swim. Shahar Agur (ISR) exited the water first in 33:16, followed closely by Itamar Eshad (ISR) and Bolbat. During the bike leg, Bolbat gained a small advantage in the Eilat Mountains. Eshad reduced the gap later in the ride, with the two athletes entering T2 separated by 23 seconds. On the run, Eshad briefly took the lead before Bolbat moved ahead in the final kilometers to claim the win and the course record.
Bolbat improved his own record from last year by five seconds after a close race with Israel’s Itamar Eshad, who finished second in 4:16:45, also setting a new Israeli course record. Shahar Agur placed third in 4:30:27 in his first appearance at Challenge Israman.

In the women’s middle-distance race, Hadas Mazar won in 5:33:25, adding the victory to her Israeli Championship title earlier this season. Hadar Shahar (ISR) led the swim in 34:29, followed by Inbar Zahavi (ISR) and Mazar. Mazar took the lead during the bike leg, completing the 90 km ride in 3:19:10, and extended her advantage on the run. Zahavi finished second in 5:55:39, with Shahar third in 6:09:20.

The men’s long-distance race was won by Almog Elazari (ISR) in 8:47:57, with Eitan Yudshkin second in 9:23:56 and Dan Alterman third in 9:51:24. In the women’s long-distance race, Antonina Reznikov claimed her eighth Israman victory in 11:57:04, followed by Inbal Hadad in second place, eight minutes behind.
