Swim, Bike, Run in Paradise: Challenge Florianópolis Returns This Weekend

Challenge Florianópolis returns this weekend on 19 April, bringing the Challenge Family race experience to one of the most breathtaking destinations in the sport.

Set in Florianópolis, often called the “Magic Island”, this race combines fast racing with a true race-cation atmosphere. Known for its stunning coastline and nearly 100 beaches, it’s no surprise the destination is considered a must-do on any triathlete’s bucket list.

Around 1,200 athletes will take part across the weekend, including more than 500 runners in the popular 7km run, adding to the vibrant race atmosphere both on and off the course.

Athletes can look forward to a swim along one of Brazil’s most beautiful coastlines, a fast and flat bike course ideal for personal bests, and a run that captures the energy of this unique island setting. Alongside the middle-distance race, the event also offers sprint-distance options and a junior challenge,  making it a true triathlon festival.

But Challenge Florianópolis is about more than racing. From exploring Lagoa da Conceição to discovering the historic charm of Santo Antônio de Lisboa or relaxing on the famous Jurerê Internacional beach, the event delivers the perfect blend of sport and travel.

With world-class racing, unforgettable scenery, and endless opportunities for adventure, this weekend promises to showcase exactly why Challenge Florianópolis continues to stand out as one of the most iconic races on the global calendar.
