On 8 September, triathletes will take part in three very different races, surrounded by three diverse cultures on opposite sides of the world but united by the Challenge Family. Canada, China and Uzbekistan will host thousands of age group athletes, together with some of the biggest names in the sport, and a ground-breaking prize purse.
The inaugural Challenge Beijing, raced over the non-drafting Standard (Olympic) distance, has attracted some of the biggest names in the sport, including World #2, Kyle Smith (NZL) and Olympic silver medalist, Julie Derron (SUI), and will feature a prize purse of US$100,000. In addition, over 1,000 age group athletes will compete at the home of the 2022 Winter Olympics, enjoying the Chinese culture and iconic nearby Badaling Great Wall. www.challenge-beijing.com
