Chance to earn ‚double’ points in The Challenge Family World Bonus 2019 season at three new races in 2018!

While the Challenge Family World Bonus 2018 is still in full swing, new plans for the 2019 edition of the World Bonus are on their way. CHALLENGEFAMILY will celebrate three new races at the end of this year, CHALLENGEASIA-PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIPCHALLENGEBAJA andCHALLENGEDAYTONA, by offering a special ‘double’ bonus package. Points earned at the end of this year at any of these three events will count in the Challenge Family World Bonus ranking for both 2018 and 2019!

The CHALLENGEASIA-PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP (Taiwan) will be the first race where athletes can earn points for the Challenge Family World Bonus in 2018 and 2019. This event will be held on the 18th November 2018. The second opportunity will be CHALLENGEBAJA (Mexico) on the 2nd December 2018 followed a week later by CHALLENGEDAYTONA (USA) on on the 8th December. This race will be the last opportunity for athletes to benefit from this special bonus package.

During next year, there will of course be plenty more qualifying races for the Challenge Family World Bonus 2019 rankings. The complete schedule including all the participating races will be announced by CHALLENGEFAMILY at the CHALLENGEASIA-PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP 2018

Sebastian Kienle (GER), the current 2018 rankings leader welcomes the Challenge Family World Bonus system. ,,For me the ranking is a very good idea, because I see more and more athletes doing more and more races. Also the quality of the races increases because of this. This is similar to the WTS-series where you have a very high overall bonus that pays down pretty deep. For me it’s also a very nice opportunity to get to know some new races. In my opinion this is very good for our sport.”

Pablo Gonzalez Dapena (ESP), third in the current male rankings, is pleased to be part of the Challenge Family World Bonus. ,,It’s a fantastic idea to create a global ranking through the races of CHALLENGEFAMILY. Due to the situation in which I am 3rd now, this year I will make my debut in my first Long Distance at CHALLENGEMADRID to try to get the highest possible points. It will be the biggest challenge of my life. My main goal for this season was to compete out of Spanish races, against world class triathletes. Thanks to the World Bonus, CHALLENGEFAMILYoffered me this opportunity. Trips to Rome, Gran Canaria, Salou or Lisboa allowed me to compete with great world-class triathletes and test what level I am.”

Belinda Granger, responsible for the pro athlete liason at CHALLENGEFAMILY commented: “I am really excited that we now have even more races involved in our World Bonus Series for 2019. It  makes it a truly global series. I firmly believe in rewarding those who race strongly over the year. It has been fantastic to see so many athletes planning their race season around theCHALLENGEFAMILY global series”.
