Challenge Florianópolis delivered an unforgettable race weekend, with athletes from around the world taking on the spectacular course on the ‘Magic Isle’.
Over 1,200 age group athletes took part across the weekend of sport, with events including a 7km run sprint distance races and junior events, alongside the flagship middle distance race. Challenge Florianópolis once again proved to be a true triathlon festival for athletes of all ages and abilities and spectators alike.
In the men’s race, Rodrigo Silveirinha Correa Filho delivered an outstanding performance to take the overall win in 3:48:38. The women’s race saw Stella Aparecida Furlan de Oliveira claim victory in 4:37:56, showcasing consistency and strength across all three disciplines to secure the top spot.
Beyond the racing, the event highlighted the unique appeal of Florianópolis, combining world-class sport with a true post-race vacation destination where beaches, culture, and community come together. So strong is the demand for this destination, that for the second year running, two Challenge Florianópolis races will take place, the second one on 29 November 2026, this time featuring a pro race alongside the age group field.
