The global triathlon community continues to gain momentum in the virtual training space as ROUVY – the immersive indoor cycling platform – renews its long-standing partnerships with Challenge Family and DATEV Challenge Roth. This renewed collaboration reinforces a shared mission: giving athletes the tools and opportunities to train smarter, prepare better, and experience the world’s most iconic triathlon courses from home.
Bringing More Challenge Family Courses to Life
For years, ROUVY has enabled athletes to ride real-world Challenge Family routes in high-definition realism, and the next chapter of this partnership pushes that vision even further. An expanded collection of official Challenge Family courses is already in development, including:
- Challenge Forte Village
- Challenge Israman
- Challenge Samarkand
- Challenge Malaysia
- Lotto Challenge Gdańsk
- Challenge Cesenatico
- Challenge Sanremo
- Challenge Sandefjord
These additions will give athletes more opportunities than ever to familiarize themselves with course profiles, train on key segments, and build confidence ahead of race day – no matter where they are in the world.
A Celebrated Return: DATEV Challenge Roth
After a brief hiatus, ROUVY and DATEV Challenge Roth reunite in a new four-year agreement that brings one of triathlon’s most iconic long-distance courses back to the virtual training world.
For Roth athletes, this partnership offers something invaluable: the ability to experience every climb, descent, and landmark of the legendary Bavarian course long before race week. For the rest of the community, it’s a chance to ride one of the sport’s crown jewels – an experience once reserved only for those who could travel to Germany.
Triathlon’s Biggest Names Join the ROUVY Athlete Team
To further deepen its integration with the triathlon world, ROUVY has announced an impressive roster of professional athletes for 2026 – many of whom are well known to the Challenge Family community.
Returning ambassadors Frederic Funk, Sam Long, and Nikki Bartlett continue to offer specialized triathlon-focused workouts ranging from VO₂ Max intervals to endurance sessions. Their group rides have become a favorite among age-groupers looking for a motivational push from the pros.
Joining the team this year is triathlon legend Patrick Lange, a multiple World Champion and former DATEV Challenge Roth champion. Lange will host a special Group Ride later this year, giving ROUVY users the rare opportunity to train alongside him on a real course.
“ROUVY is a game changer for my indoor training,” Lange says. “Riding real course recon in an immersive environment keeps me focused and helps me arrive at the start line already familiar with every climb, corner, and detail.”
In addition, ROUVY welcomes Marten Van Riel, Matthew Marquardt, Stephanie Clutterbuck, Joe Skipper, and Tom Oosterdijk, further enriching the community’s opportunities for virtual training with world-class talent.
A Shared Vision for the Future
Challenge Family’s global network of races is built on passion, community, and the pursuit of excellence – values that align closely with ROUVY’s mission. Together, this renewed partnership ensures that athletes can continue to “train where they race,” preparing with purpose and connecting with fellow triathletes across the world.
For both seasoned competitors and athletes taking on their first Challenge event, the future of virtual course recon and community-driven training has never looked brighter.
