Take Your Challenge Family Training Indoors with ROUVY’s Latest Innovations

As the northern hemisphere transitions into the indoor cycling season, ROUVY – the interactive indoor cycling platform – has once again raised the bar. With fresh features and global route additions, athletes can now combine their Challenge Family race preparations with new levels of motivation, variety, and realism.

Starting October 20, ROUVY introduces timed competitive segments across climbs, rolling roads, and sprints. Much like chasing a rival on race day, athletes will see avatars of segment leaders, their friends, or even their own past performances – making each ride a chance to test limits and measure progress.

And it doesn’t stop there. ROUVY’s mission to “map the world” continues with an impressive catalogue of new routes. From pro training destinations such as Calpe, Andorra, and Girona to far-flung adventures in Bolivia, Sri Lanka, and Tajikistan, the platform offers both escapism and serious training stimulus. Riders seeking elevation can join the Alpine Peak Spotlight with Andrew Feather, tackling iconic Dolomite passes over a five-week climbing block.

For Challenge Family athletes, the connection is even more powerful: many Challenge Family race courses are available to ride on ROUVY. That means you can preview, learn, and train on the very roads you’ll face on race day – from the comfort of your home. It’s not just about fitness; it’s about familiarity, confidence, and sharpening race-day execution.

The app itself has also been enhanced with new customisation options in the virtual garage, plus the ability to toggle ERG Mode mid-ride – giving athletes more control than ever. Updated route filters, including gradient sliders, make it easier to find the perfect training ride, whether it’s a recovery spin, a long course simulation, or a climb-specific session.

As ROUVY’s Product Director Marek-Martin Matyska explains, the goal is clear: to inspire friendly competition, push performance, and make every ride count. Or as Content and Experience Director Antonín Parma puts it, “We are on a mission to digitise the cycling world which continues to inspire adventure.”

For triathletes eyeing their next Challenge Family event, this winter is the perfect moment to bring your race goals indoors. Thanks to ROUVY’s latest updates, you don’t just train – you immerse yourself in the roads, climbs, and landscapes that will define your season.
