Make sure your Race Day runs smoothly with this checklist

To help make sure your race day runs smoothly, we’ve put together a handy checklist for your next Challenge Family race:

  • Make sure your emergency contact details are correct
  • Make sure you advise the race team of any medical conditions, even if you don’t think it’s important!
  • Inform the race organiser if there is an important change in your health situation that you want the race medical team to be aware of
  • Make sure you are used to swimming in open water, and have done open water swimming both with and without a wetsuit so you are prepared for all eventualities
  • We strongly recommend you attend the race briefing to be aware of the latest weather/water temperature updates and special conditions on/around the bike/run courses.
  • Consider having a sports medical health check before your race
  • Consider withdrawing from the race if you feel unwell before or on the race day and inform the race officials
  • Don’t forget to get your travel insurance before you leave if you are racing abroad

Happy training and see you soon!
