Challenge Peguera Mallorca has a deserved reputation for being much more than a triathlon – it’s a weekend festival for athletes, friends, families and spectators with a new and extended programme for 2024. This includes the iconic Nit de Foc opening ceremony so unique to Mallorca, a rock tribute concert, kids race and aquathlon for the youngsters, a 4km fun run, a Crossfit competition, Zumba and Latin dance masterclasses, a gastronomic showcase, wandering Pasta Party to enjoy the best local eateries, nutrition workshops plus an unforgettable closing show with Dimonis, Batucada and Ball de Bot, rounding off with the legendary after party!
Over the renowned scenic middle distance course, there are now two extra entertainment stations bringing the total to eight, ensuring a festive atmosphere from start to finish and to give you that extra lift to the finish line.
Athletes can also contribute a special Spotify playlist with their favourite training and racing tunes which will be used by the event DJs to create a motivating race-day soundtrack.
And of course, Mallorca is as much about the destination as it is about the race – it was nominated by athletes Best Race Venue of 2023 in the Challenge Family Awards. The 1.9km swim in the Mediterranean, starting from the pristine sands of Torà Beach, is followed by 90km of riding through the Sierra de la Tramuntana UNESCO World Heritage Area with its magnificent scenery, testing climbs and fast downhills. The two-lap bike course also takes athletes along the coast past some of the island’s most memorable beaches. The four-lap run course through the heart of Peguera and along the coastline is both beautiful and tough but the crowd support is legendary and will carry you to the finish line!
